There are many tasks which you can get side tracked into doing which are not the best use of your time but need doing nonetheless to keep the cogs turning.

Typing up meeting notes or compiling and finessing documents can be tasks that often keep slipping down the To Do list. Your BTVA can therefore save you time by doing this for you and formatting, proof reading, inserting pictures, creating PowerPoint slides or flowcharts etc.

Some clients like to dictate notes from meetings for their BTVA to send out or share with colleagues or add to a customer file. This can easily be done as a voice memo on a smart phone or on an app.

Researching information can also take time you don’t have, so your BTVA can make enquiries, request information and compile findings to discuss with you, so that information is condensed to the most relevant, making it easier for you to make decisions and move on.

Sending invoices can also fall into this ‘task orientated’ category, as can keeping on top of expenses for mileage and hospitality, so that you’re not out of pocket. This can be helpful if say your accountant does your bookkeeping and the more administrative side of the accounts still sits with you.

Lastly, having a BTVA assigned to a project can be the difference in that project stalling or getting completed on time. We break the work down into stages and monitor what has to happen when, collating information, chasing actions and ensuring that the project is achieved.
